Julia Ann, real name Julia Tavella, was born in Glendale, California. At 12 she moved to a smaller town called Idyllwild where she lived until she moved to Los Angeles at 17 to live with her grandmother.

She had always wanted to be a model but ended up getting into shaving cream wrestling. She traveled around California doing this for a couple of years before meeting up with Janine Lindemulder one night at a party.

The two ended up forming one of the most successful strip club feature acts called Blondage in 1992. In 1993, the couple, decided to move into adult films and they teamed up with Andrew Blake to make Hidden Obsessions which garnered Julia and Janine a couple of awards.

Julia also became a contract girl for Vivid and then moved on to become a contract girl for Digital Playground. In 2000 she left adult films and went to college for a couple of years only to be drawn back to it in 2002 when she became a contract girl for Wicked Pictures.

In 2003, she was married to director Michael Raven but has since been divorced, has worked as a make up artist, Playboy TV Host, is a member of the AVN Hall of Fame and continues to model. She runs her own site at JuliaAnn.com.
